As part of the exhibition 13 Metrekare: From The Inside and Persistent, which is on view at Depo until April 16th, a guided tour with Evrim Kavcar and a talk with the participation of Diyarbakır Arts Center (DSM)’s Director Övgü Gökçe Yaşa, will be held.

During the guided tour that will take place at the exhibition space on April 8th, Evrim Kavcar, who contributed to the preparation of the exhibition, will talk about Collective’s projects and the process of these projects coming together as an exhibition.

In the talk that will take place on April 12 with the participation of 13 Metrekare Art Collective‘s members, the team that produced From The Inside and Persistent, and Diyarbakır Arts Center (DSM)’s Director Övgü Gökçe Yaşa, the methods of working as an independent art collective and the various approaches adopted by 13 Metrekare in terms of both production and relationship with the audience will be discussed.

Aiming to add alternative layers consisting of fragmentary narratives to the urban memory of Mardin by documenting its hidden stories, 13 Metrekare Art Collective carries out its projects by coming together with various individuals, artists and artisans without a production platform, who live in and around Mardin. In the exhibition at Depo, the Collective brings together different pieces from three projects that evoke the nature of the contact it established with the place it was born and continues to live.
