Around 1,500 visual works from the mid 60s to the coup d’état of 12 September 1980, when the first examples of left-wing graphic art appeared, are being brought together in a comprehensive book and exhibition for the first time. They mirror an important phase of the Turkish Left in the form of posters, magazines, and book and LP covers created by political parties, underground movements, trade unions, societies, artists and art groups. The history of struggle for democracy and socialism is collated through the visual reflections of the struggle itself and is being presented as a unique source.
