IN BETWEEN (1997-2003): Fooling Around With Documents: Guided tour with Neriman Polat and Gül Ilgaz

As part of the exhibition IN BETWEEN (1997-2003): Fooling Around With Documents, on view at Depo until July 12, a guided tour will be held with the participation of artists Neriman Polat and Gül Ilgaz.

The archival exhibition IN BETWEEN (1997-2003): Fooling Around With Documents presents a selection from the archives of four friends, a group of artists; Gülçin Aksoy (1965-2024), Nancy Atakan (b. 1946), Gül Ilgaz (b. 1962) and Neriman Polat (b. 1968). It examines a period starting from the first public output of their collaboration, Arada at Atatürk Cultural Center in 1997, to the exhibition titled Families Only at Karşı Sanat in 2003, which expanded its participants and took on a more collective form. IN BETWEEN (1997-2003): Fooling Around With Documents presents an alternative narrative as a contribution to the contemporary art historiography of the 1990s while highlighting the humour and joy of the group.

The tour will be held in Turkish and registration is not required to participate.
