My Anxious Heart: Talk and Q&A with Ceren Lordoğlu

As part of the exhibition My Anxious Heart, on view at Depo until July 13, a talk will be held by Ceren Lordoğlu who conducts research and lectures on feminist geography, gender and women’s studies, everyday life, and space.

In her talk, Lordoğlu will reflect on the various meanings of home, the feeling of being at home and homemaking in relation to Balca Ergener’s works. The audience will be invited to reconsider home in the light of concepts offered by researchers who focus on its multiple meanings related to the past, present and the future.

My Anxious Heart focuses on the ongoing motion between transitoriness and rootedness in a world characterized by rapid cycles of destruction and construction, migration and changing ecologies. In her works Balca Ergener explores how to express sensual and affective states related to dwelling in urban environments shaped by these forces.

The event will be held in Turkish and registration is not required to participate.
