Possibility and Probability: Talk with Can Memiş, Dilara Erdem, Mehmet Said Aydın and Uraz Aydın

As part of Possibility and Probability, on view at Depo until July 5, a talk will be held with the participation of Can Memiş, Dilara Erdem, Mehmet Said Aydın and Uraz Aydın on the politics of sound, dispossession practices, transitions between literature and visual arts, colonial methods, and forms of resistance.

Ateş Alpar’s exhibition traces a broader narrative that addresses borders, security, surveillance mechanisms, and dispossession. When and how everyday objects become politicized, the links between individual stories and collective memory are among the main questions of the exhibition. Possibility and Probability approaches colonization as an ongoing process. Beyond documentation and representation, Alpar focuses on the possibilities of resistance offered by space, objects, and language, while resurfacing the possibilities made invisible by colonialism.

The talk will be held in Turkish and registration is not required to participate.
