The Garden of (Not) Forgetting: “Many Places on the Trail of a Place” Book Launch

“Many Places on the Trail of a Place” has been developed to revisit the places Dilşad Aladağ and Eda Aslan encountered and to memorialise and share the stories of the people they met while conducting the research for “The Garden of (Not) Forgetting” project. In addition to narrating the stories they found in a number of personal and institutional archives in Turkey and Germany, the texts published on Manifold between February 2019 and March 2020 function also as a written record of the research process, and/or a research diary.

“Many Places on the Trail of a Place” is published as a book in collaboration with Manifold and with the support of SAHA. Esen Karol has conducted the design and editorial process of the book, and İpek Şoran has done its proofreading. The book, which was printed by Ofset Yapımevi, will be presented to readers by Dilşad Aladağ and Eda Aslan with a book launch.
