The Women’s Atlas: A Feminist Exercise of Transforming Together

16/01/2024 @ 18:30 - 21:00

Tuesday, January 16, 18:30

As part of the exhibition The Women’s Atlas, which is on view at Depo until February 17, a talk will be held where the Alaca Heyheyler Collective (Arzu Yayıntaş, Güneş Terkol, Sevil Tunaboylu) will discuss how the collective came together, how the exhibition emerged, their experiences of being together yet disparate from one another, and the content of their second book.

While developing different feminist exhibition-making methods and proposing new ways for the audience and the exhibition to interact, the collective brings text and image together in an unusual manner in their exhibition The Women’s Atlas, and invites its visitors to be part of the making of their book. Alaca Heyheyler wishes The Women’s Atlas, which they define as a “living exhibition,” to transform with the participation of its audience. The second part of A Feminist Exercise of Transforming Together will focus on the experience and suggestions of participants regarding the exhibition, as well as their ideas on the collective’s second book.

The talk will be held in Turkish and registration is not required to participate.
