Opening: Thursday, February 6, 18:30

Marking the second anniversary of the Maraş earthquakes, the exhibition We Are Still Here, featuring works by young artists affected by the disaster, will be open to visitors on Thursday, February 6, at Depo.

First shown in Arsuz, Hatay as part of the Art Ambassadors project, the exhibition highlights stories of hope rebuilt through art by high school and university students, as well as recent graduates from Hatay. Centered around the themes of solidarity and transformation, the exhibition aims to serve as a call for collective healing and resilience.

Implemented by Talebeyiz Biz in collaboration with the Füsun Sayek Association For The Development of Health and Education and with support from the Support Foundation for Civil Society, Turkey Mozaik Foundation, and Turkish Philanthropy Funds, the Art Ambassadors: Access and Active Participation in Arts and Culture with Young People – A Community-Based Model Proposal project focuses on fostering young people’s access to and participation in arts and culture. The initiative, developed in Hatay, one of the provinces most affected by the February 2023 earthquakes, aims to build sustainable mechanisms that enhance young people’s capacity to cope with traumatic experiences through cultural and artistic engagement.

Established in 2023 in Istanbul, Talebeyiz Biz is committed to increasing young people’s equal access to arts and culture and fostering active participation. By doing so, the organization seeks to contribute to the well-being of young people and support the creation of an inclusive and participatory society.
