As part of the exhibition The Treasures of Our Theatre, which traces the history of theatre in Turkey, a talk titled When One’s Mother Is Suna Pekuysal and Father Is Ergun Köknar… will be held. We will explore the lives of legendary theatre figures Suna Pekuysal and Ergun Köknar, renowned for their vivid personalities and distinctive sense of humor, through the eyes of their son, academic and architect Saitali Köknar. What kind of childhood did he have? What was his parents’ relationship with the theatre like? How did life on stage differ from life at home? The talk at Depo will revolve around these questions and more.

The Treasures of Our Theatre, with its carefully selected materials from the TTV archives, offers a remarkable diversity—from registry books to personal notes, payrolls to internal correspondences, letters to photographs, books to magazines, stage designs to posters and cartoons, and from play texts to working notes.
